How many of you would like to learn some tips & tricks about couponing?

This topic seems to have sparked an interest.  However, I’d like to determine what type of interest.  Enough to start another blog or just enough to have a couple of posts here and there?  If there was a blog dedicated to the topic would you be more willing to visit it, if you didn’t have to look through unrelated posts to find what you were looking for?

With that being said, I wanted to show you the contest I won.  I picked a $100.00 Safeway card:

What exactly did I enter?  My shopping trip to CVS was as follows:

Purchased:

·         (4)        Bottles of SoBe Water, $1.00 each

·         (1)        Bottle BV Coastal Cabernet, $5.99

·         (2)        Christmas Tissues, $.25 each

·         (1)        Holiday Entertainment Assorted Crackers, $1.99

Coupons Used:

·         (2)        $1.89 BOGO SoBe Water, exp 12/31/12

·         (2)        $2.50 CVS Hershey’s/Reese’s Coupon

·         (2)        $1.35 Hershey’s/Reese’s Coupon (Coupon.com Savings Club)

·         (1)        $1.00 BV Coastal Coupon, exp 12/31/12

·         (1)        $4.00 CVS $4.00 of $20.00 purchase

·         (1)        $1.00 CVS Bag Tag

·         (1)        $3.00 CVS off of 3 bags of Hershey’s/Reese’s bags

Total: $21.00

OOP $5.81 + .51 tax = $6.32 – but I used a store credit from a previous return, so OOP $0.00

This was one of many shopping trips that day.  While some of them were not as extreme, others were not bad. At a local grocery store, I had a total of approximately $30.00, but my out of pocket (OOP) was a mere $3.00 plus change.

I can teach you how to do this and much more.  Let me know!

Coupons are the best… and then some. One of my kids got one for a pair of Clark’s shoes and I got one for a Lacoste t-shirt… In the mall, we spent $250 and cost to us was 0!! I love coupons. :-)

Oh, that was an awesome score!

Well if the idea takes off, maybe you could do a story? I don’t have a mall close by, so that would be an element of couponing that I would need an expert in!

Aw, this was a very good post. Finding the time and actual effort to generate a superb article… but what can I say… I procrastinate a lot and don’t manage to get anything done.
